PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police said they received several tips with the identity of an accused armed robber which led to his arrest within 24 hours of the crime.

The Phoenix Police Department issued surveillance photos on Monday of the suspect who robbed a Chase Bank at 8001 N. 35th Ave. about 2 p.m. Monday and fled, said Phoenix police Officer James Holmes.

Police said they received several calls identifying the suspect as Eric A. Goins Jr., 36, and about 2 p.m., Goins was arrested in the 2900 block of East Van Buren Street.

After gathering evidence linking him to robbery, Goins was booked into jail on one felony count of armed robbery.
