An Upshur County man will serve 45 years in prison for the murder of a woman on Ginger Road in Gilmer.
Eddie Douglas Baker, 28, pleaded guilty in court last week to the murder of 46-year-old Tana Fuller Warren, as well as two charges of aggravated assault/threat with a deadly weapon.
Authorities responding to a disturbance call in February 2013 found Baker attempting to ignite a camper doused with gasoline. When police arrived, they found two peoples suffering from stab wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Later, police went to Warren's residence after a relative filed a missing persons report. At the residence, deputies found Warren's body.
Two other people found fleeing the scene had been stabbed, as well, police said.
Baker was also sentenced to 10 years in prison on each aggravated assault charge. All three sentences will be served concurrently.
