PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) - According to Palestine police, they are working on an action plan to fix the issues within the Palestine Police Department. They say the city and the police department will continue as is.

The Palestine Police Officers Association posted the following statement on Facebook: "After much patience by officers the meeting has begun and word is that Wendy Ellis is creating an action plan to fix the issues and the city and police department will continue as is."

The Texas Municipal Police Association said the Palestine Police Chief has the lowest management survey scores in a decade, and they addressed the issue in Monday's city council meeting.

The city council meeting was packed with passionate residents and officers who say they are nhappy with the current Chief of Police.
