Ray Scott brings his many years of experience in healthcare information technology, and is a widely respected authority in health information exchange and healthcare informatics. He co-founded Axolotl Corp. in 1995 to provide collaborative electronic workflow solutions for communities of health care providers. He was instrumental in creating the concepts around Clinical Messaging®, turning electronic medical record communication into a reality, and establishing it as a necessary requirement for successful health information exchanges and regional health information organizations.

Since successfully selling Axolotl Corp to OptumInsight, a subsidiary of  UnitedHealth Group, Ray has been advising a number of promising healthcare information technology and informatics companies. He has also been very active in the eHealth Initiative, and other industry organizations.

"I am thrilled and honored to have Ray on our team, and have him lead our Board of Directors," stated Ken H. Rosenfeld, President of eHealth Technologies. "I look forward to our continued tight collaboration with Ray as he helps guide us through the tremendous opportunities and growth prospects for our company."

"Mr. Scott's wide-ranging expertise, his experience in growing companies and increasing shareholder value, and his influence within the healthcare information technology industry, makes him an exciting choice for eHealth Technologies' Chairman of the Board," stated David Stevenson, Board Director of eHealth Technologies and Managing Director of Merck Global Health Innovation Fund. "We look forward to working closely with him."

In accepting the appointment, Ray Scott commented "I have been involved with eHealth Technologies as a business partner for a number of years, and have always believed in the vision of the company.
