Mahomes, Pirtle & Jester all drafted

Whitehouse football and baseball star Patrick Mahomes was drafted in the 37th round by the Detroit Tigers in the Major League Baseball Draft.  Mahomes will not sign with the Tigers and will play football and baseball at Texas Tech.

Former Tyler Lee infielder Brett Pirtle was also selected by the Tigers.  The Mississippi State senior was drafted in the 23rd round.  Joining Pirtle in round 23 was former Hallsville and TJC pitcher Jason Jester.  The Texas A&M senior was selected by the San Diego Padres.
