Monday's Weather: Warm and humid with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 80s

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - We are waking up to some mild and humid conditions across the area. Temps are starting off in the low to mid 70s, with plenty of humidity. Dew points are in the 60s, making if feel pretty sticky. Your Monday forecast calls for a mix of clouds and sun, with a very slight chance for an isolated shower. Highs will warm into the upper 80s. Tonight, look for a few clouds with things remaining on the muggy side. Overnight low temps will drop into the 70s. Tuesday calls for mostly sunny skies. Temps will soar into the low 90s for highs. Wednesday will feature another day full of sunshine, with highs in the low 90s. Things begin to warm up even more as a high pressure ridge begins to build in from the west. This means plenty of sunshine with highs warming into the mid 90s for Thursday and Friday. We will begin to see a weak front approach the area Saturday, knocking temps back down into the low 90s for highs but still keeping us dry. The front gets closer by Sunday, knocking highs back into the upper 80s, and a slight chance for a few isolated showers.

On Monday the Associated Press released its top 25 preseason poll for college football. And for the third straight year, Texas A&M didn't make the cut. Starting fast though and moving their way up the polls in recent seasons hasn't been the problem. In fact, the Aggies, who have over a dozen East Texans on the roster, were number four in the initial playoff rankings last year.
