Tyler Junior College baseball team one win from claiming National Championship

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - One more chapter still has to be completed, but up to this point the Tyler Junior College baseball team has written a perfect fairytale.

The Division II World Series is leaving the Rose City after this year and with just one more victory, the Apaches can say farewell to the tournament as the champions.

TJC is the only undefeated team left and will have a chance to claim the national title Wednesday night.

"I know a lot of us are not probably going to sleep well tonight, because we are just going to be ready to go," outfielder Anthony Soriano said. "Its just a great feeling right now. We have more confidence than anything in the world, and we are beyond happy for what we have done this year."

Pitcher Kevin Williams added,"We just have to go win it and stay relaxed. We can't take it way to serious, and not let it get above our heads. We just need to go in there and do what we have been doing all year. Hopefully we will be dog piling tomorrow night."

The Apaches will play the winner of Herkimer and Cumberland who playing an elimination game on Tuesday evening.
