Hinds wins World Series opener

It started late, and it ended later.

Hinds Community College 14-11 winners over Lincoln Land Community College out of Springfield, Illinois in the Eagles NJCAA Division-II World Series opener Saturday night.

Game scheduled to start at 7, began at 8:30 after the game ahead of them experienced a rain delay, before going 4 hours and finishing at 1:30 this morning in Enid, Oklahoma.

Quade Smith 3 for 3 for Hinds with 3 walks, 4 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in. Eagles are back on the field in the winner's bracket tomorrow at noon.
