RUSK, TX (KLTV) - The Rusk Police Department is still searching for answers to the possible homicide of 22-year-old Xavier Lang. Lang was found on the side of the road in Rusk with head injuries on Tuesday, April 29 and was pronounced dead at a Tyler hospital the next day.

A stranger found Lang near the Cherokee County Jail on Underwood Street in Rusk. Lang's mother was told that he jumped out of a vehicle.

Authorities say they have not completed a police report from the night of April 29 pending the autopsy and toxicology report. The investigator on this case says he is hopeful the toxicology report will help give him some answers.

We spoke to Lang's mother, Tracy Justice after he was pronounced dead. She is still looking for answers to her son's death.

"I just want to find some justice for Xavier because it's hard putting him in the ground and not having an answer for him on why would they do this to you," Justice said.

The case is still under investigation and being investigated as a possible homicide.
