Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety have identified the two drivers killed in a fiery Friday morning 18-wheeler crash.
Troopers say 46-year-old Brian Witkowski and 21-year-old James Witkowski were a father-son driving team out of Edison, New Jersey.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. in Bowie County, Texas where I-30 crosses over County Road 2148 near the town of Nash.
Bowie County Deputies say the Witkowski's 18-wheeler, which was hauling cars, was traveling east on I-30 when for some reason the truck ran off the bridge, fell onto the county road below and caught on fire.
"We had a pretty good size fire. We've got units from Pleasant Grove, Nash and C-5 on scene. It took us about 30 minutes to get the fire under control," said Assistant Fire Chief John Alquist.
All lanes of traffic on I-30 heading in both directions are open.
