19th Annual Wooden Wonderland

The Rose Garden Center in Tyler has turned into a "Wooden Wonderland."

The 19th annual Woodcarving and Woodturning Show began today. It's put on by the East Texas Woodcarvers Club.

Dozens of carvers from all over Texas and five other states are displaying their creations for competition and for sale. You can find anything from animals and humans to Santas to pictures carved in wood.

"Some of the things that are done with wood are unbelievable, unless you have worked with it and understand how it works," Tom Ansley, a woodcarver from Kilgore, said.

The show continues tomorrow, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $2. Children under 12 get in free.
