UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas man has been found guilty of indecency with a child.

Charles Douglas McClain III, 27, inappropriately touched a 12-year-old girl in July 2013.

According to Billy Byrd, Upshur County Criminal District Attorney, the trial was held on Wednesday before Judge Lauren Parish. McClain was found guilty after he chose to waive his right to a jury trial and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Due to the aggravated offense, he will have to serve at least half of the sentence before he will be eligible for parole. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

McClain was previously convicted of robbery in Upshur County and was sentenced to 6 years in prison in 2008. He was also prosecuted as a juvenile in Gregg County in 2000.
