VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Police are still searching for two people wanted by authorities for robbing hundreds of graves across East Texas.

Officials said Jacky Brown and his wife, Ruby Brown fled last week after learning they are suspects. The Van Zandt County Constables Office said they received several helpful tips after KLTV shared the story with you last week. They believe the couple could be in Gainseville or Oklahoma.

The couple is suspected of stealing hundreds of pounds of brass from East Texas graveyards and could be connected to similar thefts in Nacogdoches. Officials believe the two have been stealing from graveyards for more than a year and are connected to other burglaries and thefts in the area.

Officials said they are talking with family members, but if anyone knows where Jacky or Ruby Brown might be, please call the Van Zandt County Constables Office at (903) 833-5705.

If you are planning on visiting a loved one's grave site this Memorial weekend, check for missing property and report anything stolen.
