40 Flags Retired

The very symbol of freedom that we thank our Veterans for was also honored on Veteran's Day, as nearly 40 U.S. flags were retired.

In a special ceremony, the flags, deemed unserviceable, were disposed of according to U.S. standards. An East Texas Eagle Scout organized and conducted the ceremony.

Jake McAdams says worn, tattered flags should be respectfully disposed of as a sign of reverence for our country. He also called the ceremony emotional and solemn.
