Tyler Ceremony Honors Veterans

Many different Veterans Day celebrations were held across East Texas on Thursday.
In Tyler, veterans of all branches of service were on hand for a ceremony at the downtown square.
Members of the Tyler Police Department presented the colors. The Tyler Junior College Wind Ensemble performed a medley of patriotic songs.
District 1 Congressman-Elect Louie Gohmert delivered the keynote address. He praised veterans for making what he called, "a loving, selfless sacrifice for freedom".
"You have to wonder why would anybody go out in front of his fellow soldier to take a bullet for them," asked Gohmert. "The answer is, those are all acts of love."
About 70 people were present for Monday's ceremony on the square in Tyler.
