Burglar in clown mask breaks into East Texas pharmacy

Posted: Updated:
PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) - At 3:30 Thursday morning, a burglar in a clown mask broke into a Palestine pharmacy.

Officers responded to an alarm at Bratton's Pharmacy, located at 2350 W. Oak, Suite A. The pharmacy adjoins Kim's Convenience Store.

Upon arrival, the officers found that an unknown person had broken out a drive-thru window at the pharmacy. The burglar, apparently wearing a clown mask, entered the business in search of prescription medications.

Witnesses told officers they observed the person, 5’10 tall or taller, walk to the front doors, and pull on the doors, and then walk to the west side of the building,  the side of the building with the drive –thru window. The witnesses heard the alarm sound, and shortly after that, they observed police arriving on scene.

The suspect is believed to have left the scene on foot, before the officers’ arrival. Police conducted a search of the area, but were unable to locate a suspect.

This crime is still being investigated and police say the property loss has not been finally determined regarding any stolen medications.

Authorities do have some leads to follow-up on in this case, however, they say any assistance that the public can give would be appreciated.
