East Texas Marine dies while stationed in Hawaii

KANAOE, HI (KLTV) - An East Texas Marine died on Sunday while stationed in Hawaii.

Cpl. Trey Jablonowski, a Henderson native, was found unresponsive in his barracks in Kanaoe, HI on Sunday night. He died later that night.

Jablonowski's family lives now in Longview. They say he will be buried in East Texas.

The investigation into his death could take a month or more, according to Maj. Pamela Marshall.

Jablonowski, who served in Afghanistan, had been decorated multiple times. He had been honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, a Presidential Unit Citation and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
