Job Fair Aimed At Helping Veterans

Remembering those who have served the country, an East Texas agengy did just that Wednesday, by helping veterans find work.
The East Texas Workforce Center held a job fair Wednesday aimed at helping the men and women of the armed forces.
In an early veteran's day celebration, the Workforce set up special booths designed to help vets find employment.
Many said the search for work can be difficult after serving overseas, and the job fair was a big help.
"I retired and been looking for gainful employment ever since 1998," said Navy Veteran Richard Lee. "Sometimes you get the interviews and sometimes you don't. I think this job fair is a very worthwhile endeavor and I hope a lot of people view the veterans that way."

Just a reminder Veteran's Day is Thursday. Federal agencies, post offices and banks will be closed to observe the holiday.
