HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A man and woman escaped uninjured after their vehicle stalled on train tracks Monday afternoon.

Christina Bates and her fiance were crossing the railroad tracks on County Road 3422 near the intersection of Highway 80 in Harrison County when their white pickup truck stalled.

Bates said she tried to get the truck started but soon heard the sound of a train coming in the distance. She, her fiance and their dog were able to exit the truck just moments before the Union Pacific train barreled into the vehicle.

All three escaped uninjured. Crews are working to clear the scene.

Bates received two citations for no insurance and for stop, stand and park. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, one of the truck's tires had left the roadway and had crossed onto the railroad tracks, causing the tire to become stuck.
