Longview Meth Bust

This morning, Longview police say they found the makings of a meth lab in the bed of a pick-up.

The bust happened on Pliler Precise Street, off Judson Road. Police say they found the pick-up parked behind a trailer home.

One person was arrested on the spot, but four ran from officers. They were captured later at a nearby convenience store.

Sergeant Shaun Pendleton of the Longview Police Department says, "what it appears is that they were in the process of trying to find a location to set up a meth lab." Sergeant Pendleton says many of the ingredients found in the back of the pick-up are used to make meth.

A hazmat crew from Texarkana was called in to dismantle and clean up the meth lab.
