Inmate Gets 85 Years For Threatening Judge

A West Texas inmate who calls himself the "Black Angel of Death" gets 85 more years in prison.

Joshua Lee Burkett, 30, was convicted yesterday for sending a letter to an Upshur County judge, threatening to rape and kill her, then drink her blood. He pleaded guilty to making a terroristic threat.

Burkett says District Judge Lauren Parish is one of dozens of female judges he sent those types of letters to.

Burkett is already serving time for possessing a deadly weapon in a penal institution. He's been arrested more than two dozen times since he was a juvenile.
