TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
Emotions were high on Friday at the Murphy Tennis Center as Tyler Junior College and ASA College did battle for a national championship.
Things were tied at 45 points apiece heading into doubles play and TJC came up one match short.
ASA won the 2014 national title by one point, 47 to 46. The apaches had won four tennis championships in a row, but a runner-up finish isn't too bad either.
"It's cool to be able to represent my city in college and its a lot of fun," former Tyler Lee standout Kylie Reynaud said. "I'm really proud of our team, we did really good even though we were runner up's."
