An East Texas inmate who walked away from a Cherokee County jail on Wednesday night has now been apprehended.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said 23-year-old Thomas Kyle Wagoner was arrested by U.S. Marshals at a residence in Frio County, Texas. He was taken to Medina County Jail in Hondo where he currently awaits extradition back to Cherokee County.
A second person at the residence was arrested for permitting or facilitating escape. That individual's name has not yet been released.
