Friday's Weather: Scattered showers and storms, with a slight risk of severe weather

We are waking up to warm, humid and cloudy conditions across the area. Temperatures are averaging in the 70s all across the area. Your Friday forecast is calling for more scattered showers and storms to develop throughout today. Another upper level disturbance will be moving through East Texas this morning sparking off another round of showers and storms. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined most of East Texas under a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather again, today. The main threats, just as yesterday, seem to be damaging winds, and large hail. Flash flooding could also be a problem for any location where storms may train over the same locations.  The majority of the rainfall should come to an end overnight into Saturday morning. The weekend forecast looks warm and humid with partly cloudy skies. Just a very slight chance for an isolated shower during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s and overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Look for another strong storm system to move toward East Texas, Monday night into Tuesday. This system will once again increase rain and storm chances. Another round of heavy rainfall will once again be possible. Some threat for strong storms may occur as well. The mid and latter half of next week looks to dry out and cool down significantly. Temps will drop below normal with highs only in the 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s!
