LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -
The Longview Police Department and SWAT team served simultaneous search warrants on two suspected trap houses in the 900 and 1000 blocks of E. Cotton St. on Thursday.
Longview police spokesperson Kristie Brian says two narcotics search warrants were served and one person was arrested. Brian says a flashbang device was used. An elderly woman who was in one of the houses at the time was taken to the hospital after she complained of chest pain.
Neighbors reported hearing two explosions they thought were transformers blowing.
"Our SWAT teams always go out on narcotics warrants. They just secure the perimeter until all the investigations are complete today," said Brian.
The man arrested has not yet been arraigned as he is being questioned by law enforcement who are trying to determine what he will be charged with. The man is currently being held in the Gregg County Jail.
Neighbors declined on-camera interviews, saying residents of the home have threatened them before.
