Fierce Fighting Continues In Fallujah

The fighting in Fallujah has been some of the most fierce since the start of the war in Iraq. Now, U.S. led forces have charged into the center of the city. Today, it's reported U.S. Army and Marine units have taken a third of the city under their control.

More than 10,000 U.S. and Iraqi forces engaged in street battles and conducted house to house searches on this second day of the major assault to retake the city from Islamic militants.

The U.S. military says three soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in and around Fallujah in the past 12 hours.

A total of five U.S. soldiers have died since the offensive began.
