EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Here is your weekly list of things to do across the East Texas region! Lots of fun opportunities to support East Texas business, music, art, farmers and organizations!

Tyler:

Spoken word poetry reading/dramatization: Artists Nation and APEX Theater 20 invite everyone to come read and especially act out their poetry, though that is not a requirement. 6-8 p.m.
Very laid back and all ages welcome, but be aware that no one's poetry is censored. BYOB for 21+ and IDs will be checked and enforced. Free entry for performers/readers, $5 cover for others. Opening day for Rose City Farmers Market southside - Parking lot of Jul's at 7212 Old Jacksonville, 8 am- 1 pm. Locally grown produce, artisan baked and canned goods, Porch Culture coffee roasters, live local music, dog-friendly patio, hand crafted  beers, artists and more.  Click here for Facebook page.

May Trunk sale - Smith County Swap and Shop: Saturday from 8am-2pm. Lanes Chapel United Methodist - 8720 Old Jacksonville. Please bring a couple of non-perishable food items for the food pantry if possible. Last sale had over 70 sellers; come out and support them and contribute to the food pantry which helps needy East Texans feed their families.

Lulu and the Vipers, Walker and the Texas Dangers, The Rest, and Blueheart Rambler - ClicksLive on Friday at 8:30 p.m. $5 for ages 21 and up,  ages 18-20- $10.

Bleed the Rain cd release party at ClicksLive Tyler, with 3rd Dilemma, Eli's Redemption, Victims of Sanity. Saturday - Show starts at 9pm, doors open at 8. 1946 ESE Loop 323.

Raquelle Langlinais CD release party, with John Mckay and Kerry Balltzglier, as well. 2002 Magnolia Drive, 7-10:30pm. $10 entry with cd, $5 entry without cd. Artists invited to bring their stuff and create something during the performance.

Doggy Derby Day hosted by Petapalooza - Bergfeld Park on Broadway, Saturday from 10am - 3pm. Enjoy the Kentucky Derby? Join us for Doggy Derby Days - great food, friends, races, prizes, adoption awareness. Family friendly!

East Texas Bombers Roller Derby - Great family fun! Saturday from 5-7 pm at Skateland USA, 2050 S. Jackson Street.  Doors open at 4pm. $12 at door, or $15 for "suicide" seating (trackside). Kids under 10 free. No outside food or drinks, please.
