NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
strange scream from a woman has been haunting residents living on CR 6101 in
Nacogdoches for the past two weeks.
say the scream usually can be heard at night of a women screaming "help me."
While no one has pinpointed the origin of the scream, some residents say they have
seen a shadow of a woman at night.
no injuries have been reported, but Sheriff Jason Bridges says they take
situations like this very seriously.
had a couple calls of some people calling in saying they've heard a woman
screaming and we went out to the area and of course, we take those calls very
seriously when somebody's in danger," Bridges said. " [We] sent all the units
out there, going house to house, talking to people, but we cannot pin point
where it's coming from."
says that some people have claimed they have heard the screaming right behind
their house, and aren't sure if it's someone really in danger or a joke.
know if maybe it's an animal that has a high-pitched voice that maybe sounds
like its human from a distance. We don't know," Bridges said.
David Henry, 72, says he hasn't heard anything himself, but has heard his
neighbors talk about the screams. Yet, he says he thinks it's a joke.
