HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A Hopkins County man died after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 42-year-old Bob Lee Kendall of Sulphur Springs was airlifted to a hospital after his truck crashed on Highway 11 near the intersection of Farm to Market 69. This intersection is around one mile southeast of Como.

Kendall was traveling west on Highway 11 in a 2006 Ford Ranger when his truck drifted into the eastbound lane. The truck crossed the eastbound lane and then drifted even further into the grass, eventually striking a culvert. The truck flipped multiple times.

Kendall was airlifted to a hospital but died from his injuries at 8:45 p.m. He was not wearing a seat belt.
