Police: Intoxicated woman found with 27.8 grams of crack at traffic stop

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -
An East Texas woman now faces multiple charges after a traffic stop Tuesday.
The Kilgore Police Department said 35-year-old April Marie Cameron of Overton was stopped by Officer Josh Sims on Duvall Parkway in Kilgore. An initial investigation by the officer revealed that Cameron was intoxicated and she was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
While searching Cameron, Officer Sims found 27.8 grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.
Cameron was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
On April 16, Cameron was arrested by the Longview Police Department for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. She was released on April 17 on $5,500.
