E. Texas man dies from injuries after Rusk Co. crash

RUSK COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -
An East Texas man who was hospitalized after a wreck Sunday afternoon has now died.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 72-year-old Kenneth Willard Sprague of Henderson was pronounced dead at 9:43 p.m. at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
Sprague was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 259 in Rusk County around 3:21 p.m. Sprague was stopped in a center crossover in his 2003 Saturn sedan waiting to turn onto County Road 103. DPS said he pulled out onto the roadway in front of a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by Donna Carroll Cole of Overton.
Sprague was flown to the hospital but died from his injuries on Sunday evening. Cole was not injured in the crash.
Neighbors of Sprague said he was only 150 yards from his home when the wreck occurred.
"I was sitting on my 4-wheeler and he was just coming over here I heard the noise, I looked over and saw it happen. He never stopped, he never saw her," said Terry Sipes.
