Magical Christmas Show In Longview

It's only the first weekend in November, but in Longview it marks the traditional beginning of the holiday season...

The tradition part is the 19th annual "Magical Christmas Show" at Maude Cobb activity center. Shoppers from all over East Texas begin the holiday spirit with the traditional weekend in Longview. Over 80 vendors attend the event, putting anything and everything that could make a good gift on display. For many it's the perfect opportunity to get the holiday spirit and get all their shopping done in one day.

"It's never too early to shop for Christmas, you don't want to get caught in a rush-- you don't get the right gift that way," said Hallsville shopper, Jean Jones.

"My wife really enjoys coming out here, we haven't missed one in several years," says Tyler shopper, Joseph Bruner.

"Well, my brother wants this flying hover thing, UFO thing, it's over there somewhere," said 11 year-old shopper, Matthew Mobley.

If you missed the "Magical Christmas Show" don't panic-- many of the same vendors will be at both the "Mistletoe and Magic" in Tyler next weekend and the weekend after that in Bossier City.
