Police: Robbery suspects struck Tyler man with gun, remain at large

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Two suspects remain at large after a robbery overnight in Tyler.

According to the Tyler Police Department, officers were dispatched to an aggravated robbery around 12:31 a.m. Thursday. When officers arrived, a 24-year-old man said he and two friends were "jumped" by two unknown Hispanic males in the 1100 block of N. Albertson Avenue.

The victim told officers he was struck in the back of the head with a handgun and told to hand over his wallet. After a brief struggle, the two suspects fled the scene with the victim's cell phone.

The victim was later taken to a local hospital by family with non-life threatening injuries.
