Families Pick Up Coats In Tyler

Some East Texas kids picked up their own coats on Saturday, thanks to the "Coats for Kids" program.

Last year, more than 3,000 kids were given coats through the campaign, sponsored by KLTV and PATH. This year, organizers are hoping to give out 4,000 coats.

If your child needs a coat, you can stop by the Good Samaritan Outreach Center on Gentry Parkway in Tyler from 9 till Noon next Saturday. "Coats for Kids" is still taking donations.

You can drop off coats at any of the following locations: the PATH office, KLTV studios in Downtown Tyler or at participating dry cleaners that display the "Coats for Kids" poster.

If you're in Longview, you can drop them off at Broughton Recreation Center.
