TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler's Harold Wilson took first place in his age division at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The 81 year old finished the race in 3 hours, 45 minutes and 10 seconds.

Wilson, who didn't start running until he was 54, was running 40 to 50 miles a week in preparation for the Boston Marathon.

He's now won the Marathon three times in his category and placed second once.

In 2013, Wilson was the only 80-year-old to finish the race before two  bombs exploded near the finish line.

The award ceremony was canceled, and Wilson received his trophy in the mail.
