LONGVIEW, TX – Texas Bank and Trust was recently named as one of the 2014 Best Companies to Work for in Texas. The achievement marks the second year in a row the Longview-based community bank will hold such a designation. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), Texas SHRM, and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, workforce, and businesses. The 2014 Best Companies to Work for in Texas list is made up of just 100 companies. Honorees were announced at the annual awards gala on April 1 in Austin, Texas, and will also be profiled by Texas Monthly in a special publication that was released in conjunction with the event.

To be considered for the Best Companies designation, companies from across the state must undergo an evaluation of such criteria as workplace policies, philosophies, practices, demographics, and an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

In addition to this prestigious recognition, Texas Bank and Trust remains one of the strongest independent community banks in the state. The $1.9 billion financial institution has more than 450 employees serving customers at 19 banking centers throughout the northeast Texas region.
