Truck recovered, sheriff still searching for suspects in home invasion

RUSK COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A truck stolen during a Monday evening robbery has been located.

The Rusk County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a reported robbery at a home on County Road 137 near Leverette's Chapel around 10:16 p.m. Upon arrival, two victims at the residence informed authorities that a female victim was approached outside the home by two or three suspects dressed in dark clothing, face masks and gloves.

The suspects displayed a rifle and a pistol, forcing the female back inside the residence. The individuals then bound the female victim and her husband. They had her lead them through the house, as they began selecting items and money to be taken.

The armed suspects then left the home, instructing the victims to remain there and to not call police. The suspects fled the residence in the victim's gray 2012 Ford F-150 Platinum edition. The truck was located Tuesday afternoon by the Overton Police Department. 

At this time, there are no known suspects in the case. Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Rusk County Sheriff's Office at 903-657-3581.
