Man arrested after search warrant yields 100 grams of meth

GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man is behind bars after multiple police agencies served a search warrant at his home Wednesday.

According to Gladewater Police Department Chief Robert Vine, officers executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 300 block of Sunset Avenue. Upon searching the home, authorities located 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Donald Bruce Slone, 45, of Gladewater was arrested for manufacture of a controlled substance over four grams and less than 200 grams. 

Slone has previously been arrested in Gregg County seven times for charges including distribution of a controlled substance and assault/family violence.

Vine said the search warrant was served with assistance from the Gregg County District Attorney's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force and a K9 Unit from the Gregg County Sheriff's Office.
