Good afternoon! We hope your day is going well.

Here are some stories for you to peruse today:

1. An FBI evidence response team is assisting in a cold case search for a woman missing from New Boston for 14 years. Police say an area near the corner of Nelson and Griffin Streets is being excavated today. Ladana Renee Newton Wiley has been missing since New Year's Day 2000.

2. According to the Wood County Criminal District Attorney's office, a jury handed down two life sentences for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child to William Jason "Pooh" Pugh on Wednesday. Pugh is accused of sexually abusing several little girls for years.

3. In case you missed it: An East Texas man who was paralyzed from the chest down in 2009 can now feel and move his legs. Kent Stephenson is from Mount Pleasant. He broke his back in a motocross accident almost five years ago, but thanks to a new procedure, he has hope again and can do all kinds of things he was not able to do before.

4. Your Week in Pop Culture: The latest version of Android is coming ... eventually. Also, Captain America soars to number one at the box office, and how hip-hop and politics totally belong together according to one blogger.

5. Karl Bissinger's LLC today announced a recall of its dark chocolate bunny ears because one lot was mislabeled and did not declare that the product contains milk.

6. They’re known as the school house puppies. That’s because seven pups were found near a Tyler school abandoned last Wednesday. One week later, those puppies are ready for adoption. KLTV's Summer Dashe will bring you their story on East Texas News at 5 today.

7. The 16-year-old boy accused of stabbing 22 people at his high school was dazed "like a deer in the headlights" hours later and doesn't fully grasp what he did, his attorney said Thursday as he sketched out the beginnings of a possible mental health defense.
