Woman accused of stealing co-worker's credit cards

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville woman had her credit cards stolen, and police say one of her co-workers is to blame.

Nia Parkerson is accused of taking the credit cards from a co-worker's purse and going on a shopping spree with her boyfriend.

The pair allegedly took the stolen cards to an Exxon Mobil and a Wal-Mart and used the card four times.

Police say they tried to make additional purchases, but by then, the victim had let her bank know her wallet had been stolen.

Parkerson and her boyfriend, Kenny Williams, are facing several felony counts of credit card fraud and identity theft.

The couple was charged this week about two months after the purchases were made.

Police had surveillance video for the purchases and say Parkerson was the only one in the room at the time the wallet went missing.
