Link Ministries reveals $10 million plan to expand Tent City

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Link Ministries and Urban Tech revealed a plan to expand the High Cotton Genesis Center on Friday afternoon, also known as Tent City.

Tent City is Lubbock's homeless assistance facility located just east of downtown at the site of a former cotton gin.

The project is expected to cost $10 million. It will include the addition of a membership courtyard, more tents, a recovery program, a chapel and social agencies.

Fundraising plans are scheduled to begin in May.
