Most of East Texas is now under a TORNADO WATCH until 9 p.m Thursday. Strong thunderstorms may produce isolated tornadoes. Most of the storms will develop very quickly as they move into the portion of East Texas under the watch. Please look out for rapidly developing storms over the west and northwest sections of East Texas through the remainder of this afternoon, then spreading into the central and eastern sections this evening and early tonight.
All of East Texas remains under a SLIGHT RISK for severe storms through Friday morning. Most of the activity is likely later Thursday afternoon and throughout the evening hours. The greatest risk will be large Hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Please remain informed and alert for the remainder of the day.
As the storms move out tonight, a much better day is forecast for Friday, then some more clouds and even a chance for spotty showers late on Saturday.
