TYLER, TX (KLTV) -
A mother and her child are recovering in the hospital after they were hit a car Monday night.
Tyler police tell KLTV 7 it happened around 8 o'clock in the 200 block of South Englewood in Tyler. Police say a 3-year-old girl was running into the path of a car when her mother, 31-year-old Vanessa Zamora, tried to jump in and move her out of the way. Both the mother and her daughter were hit by the car.
They were taken to a local hospital, where we're told they received only minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation and no citations have been issued at this time.
