The Choomongous sandiwich. The Choomongous sandiwich.
Good afternoon! We hope your week is off to a great start.

Here are some stories for you to dip into on this lovely Monday:

1. Are you celebrating baseball opening day today? Well, here is a a slideshow that may interest you, especially if you happen to be hungry right now: it's the new food that the Texas Rangers are unveiling this season! It includes "The Choomongous" sandwich (it's two feet long!) and frozen beer, among other must-see items. Which one will be your favorite?

2. An Angelina County judge ordered the two-month-old baby girl who suffered a severe head injury on March 25 be placed in the custody of friends of the child's family Monday morning. The Hudson Police Department is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby's severe head injury.

3. A Houston woman attacked her boyfriend in a fit of rage, sat on him after knocking him down and then stabbed him to death with the stiletto heel of her shoe, striking him at least 25 times in the face, a prosecutor told jurors Monday.

4. April 15, the deadline for filing 2013 federal income tax returns, is just around the corner. For Texans trying to wade through their federal income tax returns, it can often be a challenge. Fortunately, the IRS and the Texas Workforce Commission stand ready to assist taxpayers with information on preparation services...some folks may qualify for free tax filing services.

5. We told you a few weeks ago that a tombstone was found at the building site for the new downtown Tyler parking garage. Well, today we will tell you what is happening with that tombstone, and even whose family it belongs to. KLTV's Cody Lillich will have that story for you tonight on East Texas News at 6.

6. The Kilgore Police Department is looking for the woman pictured in the above photos. Police say she has used the name "Donna" and she is suspected of committing credit card abuse. Call Detective Tim Dukes with any info at 903-983-1559.

7. The Harrison County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that they are looking for 16-year-old Destiny Battensby. She is a runaway from the Longview area. Battensby's mother told police the teen was last seen wearing a red hoodie-style jacket, blue jeans and a tank top with red and white stripes. Anyone with information regarding Battensby's whereabouts is asked to contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Office at 903-923-4000.

We hope you will join us live on KLTV7 at 4, 5 and 6, or on our livestream on KLTV.com if you're not near a tv this afternoon{dot}
