Beating caught on cell phone and posted to Facebook, one suspect arrested

WINTON TERRACE, OH (FOX19) -

Three women are in custody and another remains at large for the stripping, beating and robbery of two women at Winton Terrace Saturday.

Cell phone video recorded during the incident shows two women stripped naked, beaten and robbed. After the incident, the video was posted on Facebook.

According to a Hamilton County affidavit, 25-year-old Kianna McMeans is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. The victims' property was found inside her car.

Bunise McMeans, the suspect's mother, says this all happened after a night of drinking at a club and the victims did their own share of breaking the law. 

"It's just blown all out of proportion. She did not steal their belongings. They went into her house and stole her Social Security cards, food out of her refrigerator, rambled through her whole house and would not leave her house," said Bunise McMeans.

After releasing McMeans Thursday night, a Hamilton County judge changed his mind Friday saying he was not aware of the seriousness of the crime. He set McMeans' bond at $25,000 per count. It is a punishment her mother says is unnecessary.

"She goes to work every day. She has her own place, her own car, her own everything. What does she need to steal from them for when she bought them clothing to wear out to the club? They had no money. My daughter has no criminal record. She is not a danger to society," said  McMeans.

McMeans did not have any serious offenses on her record. However, Jakeda Phillips, also wanted for participating in this incident, has had several incidents involving police.

The victims are sisters between the ages of 20 and 21 and are recovering from their injuries. However, one of those victims is currently facing an assault charge herself in relation to a separate incident.

Police were looking for two additional suspects, LaShawnda Jones and Geawnna Higgins, in connection with the incident. They turned themselves in on Sunday evening.

Phillips, 25, is wanted for two counts of aggravated robbery. She's described at 5'5'', 165 pounds and her last known address is listed on Dutch Colony.
