Police say Marshall murder suspect may be headed towards Dallas

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) -
Authorities received a tip Thursday that a suspect in the death of a Marshall teen may be headed to the Dallas area.
According to the Marshall Police Department, 32-year-old Corey Lamar Johnson of Jefferson may be traveling in a maroon 2006 Nissan Altima with Texas license plate number DCW9948. The tipster told police they believe he is headed toward Dallas.
Johnson is suspected in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jalen Juwan White of Marshall. White died early Sunday morning after being shot multiple times.
Just before 3 a.m., Marshall police were called to shots fired outside the Rumors Arcade. Police say an altercation spilled outside into the parking area, where a gun was produced. A flurry of shots were fired with several crashing through the windows of local businesses. Two people were hit and the suspect fled the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found that White and another victim had suffered gunshot wounds. White was taken by ambulance to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall where he later died from his injuries.
