TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Smith County Sheriff's Office is still asking for the public's help in locating four children who were taken by their non-custodial mother in violation of a court order.

On Thursday, Child Protective Services said that the four children had tested positive for methamphetamine when CPS officials removed the children from their home on December 10 after a narcotics raid. The children were placed in the home of a relative.

Authorities say Dora Elia Martinez, 33, took her four children from the relative's home on Monday. She told the relative she had permission to take the children.

The children range in age from four months to 10 years old:
  • Jared Ayala-Martinez (four months)
  • Jesus Ayala-Martinez (age 5)
  • Jose Ayala-Martinez (age 7)
  • Jonhy Ayala-Martinez (age 10)
The children were living with their aunt, Norma Martinez, just outside of Tyler city limits. Norma Martinez would not say if Dora was upset Wednesday, but did tell us everything happened very fast and she doesn't know where Dora might be headed.

Dora Martinez is wanted on four counts of interference with child custody. She is 5'1" and weighs approximately 135 pounds. Authorities believe she may be driving an older model, maroon four-door Ford Explorer.

Anyone with information regarding Dora Martinez or her children is asked to contact the Smith County Sheriff's Office at 903-566-6600.
