WINNSBORO, TX (KLTV) -
A Wood County man and his stepson were taken to hospitals on Tuesday after a domestic quarrel led to a stabbing, says the Wood County sheriff.
Sheriff Jim Brown says deputies responded to a home on County Road 4200 in Winnsboro after dispatchers received reports of a stabbing. When they arrived, paramedics were already on the scene preparing to airlift the stepfather to the hospital. The 50-year-old man had suffered several stab wounds. The stepson was taken to a Winnsboro hospital where he was treated for superficial wounds and released.
Brown says alcohol was involved in the incident, which is believed to have been a domestic dispute.
The stepfather is in a Tyler hospital, where is condition is stable.
No arrests have been made or warrants issued pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
