Police: Traffic stop leads to discovery of meth in man's pants

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas man is in jail after police found methamphetamine in his pants.

Longview police say Troy Randall Owen Jr. was arrested on Sunday after he was pulled over for a traffic violation. Longview police found a large amount of meth in Owen's pants and arrested him.

Authorities say Owen, 33, has been arrested several times since 1998 for crimes including theft, assault, contempt of court, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Owen was sentenced to 18 months in state jail in 2002.

He remains in the Gregg County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
