Crystal Kendrick, President of Voice of your Customer, said the answer is no, if a person already has coverage through their employer, through medicare, VA benefits, or a similar scenario, they do not have to purchase insurance through the marketplace plan.
Crystal explained that the marketplace is for individuals who do not have insurance, or would like to explore additional insurance beyond the coverage they already have.
